Traveling to Paris to rekindle their romantic Zing, Johnny sneaks Mavis up to the roof of The Louvre Museum with a panoramic view of the city, reminiscent of their first date on the roof of the Hotel in Transylvania. This tender sequence didn’t require gagging up. The interaction between Johnny and Mavis was best left to the sincerity of the moment.
Seq. 4000 - "Quinston's Contract"
In a nefarious plot to acquire ownership of the hotel, here we see the script’s original villain, real estate developer Carter Quinston (a fast talking car salesman-type swindler modeled on Quentin Tarantino) attempting to woo the hotel’s monster residents by flying them on his private jet and lavishing them with luxurious human amenities en route to confronting Drac (Adam Sandler). This premise was rife for monster gag opportunities.
